Standing at the center of a new urban chapter for Belgrade, the Serbia National Pavilion, conceived as the central feature of the Specialized Exhibition Expo 2027 Belgrade, is envisioned as a cultural landmark and gathering place for visitors from around the world. Rising in the emerging district of Surčin, the pavilion occupies a 55 × 60 meter footprint and encompasses a total net area of 13,544 m².

The architectural composition introduces a dynamic formal gesture that transitions from the grounded geometry of the cube toward a softened spherical silhouette. Inspired by the legacy of Serbian scientific
thought and guided by a spirit of openness and exchange, the building seeks to reassert architecture as
a medium of national expression, both symbolic and experiential.

As one of the largest new cultural venues developed for Expo 2027, the pavilion represents a major public project within Serbia’s contemporary architectural landscape and contributes to shaping the emerging identity of the Expo district and the city beyond.

The exhibition component of the pavilion occupies approximately 5,800 m², including a 2,650 m² main exhibition hall, complemented by immersive introductory spaces in the entrance lobby. The Pavilion program also includes an information center, coffee lounge, food and beverage areas, administrative offices, visitor facilities, and a publicly accessible rooftop sky garden offering panoramic views across the Expo site. Based on Expo visitor flow standards, the pavilion is designed to accommodate approximately 5,000 visitors simultaneously, with a projected daily capacity exceeding 100,000 people.
